Based on measuring caculations and real life measuring test the product is not 8.3 litres by any strectch of the imagination rather up to the brim comes out to be around 7.4 litres, meaning usuable cooking space would be around 6-6.5 litres max. The Saucepot however is premium built and i am very happy with the quality of material used. It is very heat resistant and nothing really burns in it. Easy to cook in and easy to clean it. Other than the size discrepancy would recommend.
