Misleading Warranty Extension Offer
I recently purchased the Bosch GLM 400 Laser Distance Measurer from Amazon, and during the checkout process, I was prompted to add the Onsitego 1-Year Extended Warranty for Small Home & Kitchen Appliances, which seemed like a great idea for added protection. However, my experience with Onsitego’s warranty extension has been anything but smooth.I tried registering my product with Onsitego multiple times, providing all the necessary details, but they kept rejecting my registration. After contacting their customer care multiple times, I was informed that my product was not eligible for warranty extension, and they promised to refund the amount, which I appreciate.What’s particularly frustrating is that even now, when I search for the laser distance measurer on Amazon, I still see the prompt to “add one-year warranty extension plan from Onsitego.” This is clearly misleading, and it’s crucial for Amazon to correct this error to avoid future confusion among customers.I’d like to advise other customers that when selecting an extended warranty plan, please ensure that the product you’ve chosen is covered by Onsitego. Otherwise, you may end up in a situation like mine, having to follow up with their team for a refund.In conclusion, while I appreciate Amazon’s effort to offer warranty extensions, there’s a clear issue with the accuracy of the products covered by the Onsitego warranty. I hope Amazon and Onsitego work to rectify this situation to provide a smoother experience for customers.
