Works perfectly as advertised
Took a few minutes to set up. Then it works just like wired android auto. Have driven with it for ~160 km so far. This is a Nexon EV, pre-facelift, that supports wired but not wireless android auto.Initially I had random disconnection issues. Other reviews complain about it, but please note it is an issue with android auto wireless on multiple handsets, not with the hardware (it happens on OEM cars that support wireless auto, as reported on many web forums). The reasons as per the internet can be many: 5GHz frequency interference, bluetooth interference, temporary loss of mobile signal or switching between towers/bands, Android battery saver. I cleared android auto cache, ensured no battery saver for it, and rebooted, and it seems fine after that: no disconnection in ~120km. The wired connection too would disconnect randomly, I don’t know why (maybe imperfect cable contact with phone or car), so the wireless is definitely an improvement.[edit] Having used it a while longer, I can confirm no disconnections in a few hundred km. But the phone battery drains fast (about 10%-15% per hour). My phone supports wireless charging so I can just place it on the charger, but if your phone or car doesn’t do that, you will have to plug it in on long trips. Still, the risk of android auto disconnection is less if you just plug it into a charger and use the wireless dongle, vs plug it into wired android auto, I think.

Perfect under the budget!
Day 1 Review : No installation hastle. Simple and quick installation. Surprisngly it didn’t ask for wifi connection but it automatically connected once I paired up with the blutooth. The connection itself is quick when you exit the car and come back again. So that was great. Tried calling and steering controls and voice contro on my hyundai nios, there was no delay or lag and the music quality remained same. That was surprisingly quick. Looks wise its ok, fit wise its quite tight on the usb port, so not any issue.I will update after long review. I am not sure about the wifi frequency if it is 2.4Ghz or 5.

Good product at this cost
The product is very good and working as intended. Connection between mobile and device is smooth but it takes little time for connnection. Had been using it for 3-4 days and no issues faced till date.Only I think the build quality could have been better.

Average product – does what it should
It’s a avarage product. No issue while playing music or calls or maps. However the phone starts to heatup most of the time that too in Bengaluru weather.

Tune plus review
I own both the Portronics Tune and the Tune Plus, and the difference is clear. The Plus version responds instantly to button presses and feels much smoother overall. The Tune Plus works just like a phone. You can choose between Android Auto or CarPlay just like the standard Tune, but everything loads and switches much faster. When you press the home button, you get a regular phone-like interface where you can open apps like YouTube and Netflix. For YouTube to work, just connect your phone’s hotspot. You can scroll, go full screen, and navigate easily. The best part: if you play a YouTube video and don’t switch back to CarPlay, the video keeps playing even while driving. So passengers can watch it like a normal phone screen while you drive.Sound quality is the same as the Tune model, and the display clarity depends on your car’s screen quality.Overall, it works great, feels refined, and I’m really happy with my purchase. I noticed there aren’t many reviews yet, so just sharing my experience, go for it!

Seamless Freedom on the Road – A Must-Have Wireless Android Auto Adapter
After using the Wireless Android Auto Adapter for a few weeks, I can confidently say it’s one of the best car tech upgrades I’ve made. The setup was incredibly simple – just plug it into the car’s USB port, pair it with my phone once, and it automatically connects every time I start the car. No more fumbling with cables or dealing with tangled wires! The connection is generally stable and quick, with Android Auto loading up in under 1-2 Mins. I can easily access Google Maps, Spotify, and my messages without touching my phone. Voice commands through Google Assistant also work smoothly, which makes driving safer and more convenient. There’s a minor lag sometimes when switching between apps or during phone calls, but it’s barely noticeable and doesn’t affect overall usability. The adapter’s compact design means it stays neatly out of the way, and it doesn’t draw much power.Verdict:If you’re tired of plugging in your phone every time you drive, this adapter is a game changer. It delivers convenience, safety, and solid performance at a reasonable price. Highly recommended for anyone who uses Android Auto regularly.

Good for entertainment during long trips. Worth buying (but read full review)
A nice piece of tech that transforms your car screen into a video player (be careful while using. Do not use while driving. It can get dangerously distracting). It has inbuilt support of netflix, prime, and youtube. It has playstore app too, but I didn’t try downloading other apps yet.The dongle supports wireless Android auto too, and can connect to ott apps using mobile hotspot or wifi.Very easy to install. Just plug it and wait for 5 mins for the first time.I didn’t observe any noticeable lag in the video play. However, the android auto is a bit laggy especially while using Google maps the map loading and refreshing is laggy. If I want to use only android auto, then I connect my mobile directly instead of using this dongle. (Hence only 4 rating)Note that the dongle supports either OTT or Android Auto only one at a time. You cannot watch videos while using Android auto (which is a good safety measure too). The dongle itself runs on an older version of Android, so has Google maps too. But the screen layout of the inbuilt Google maps is not suitable for driving usage. Also it doesn’t have inbuilt GPS, so navigation might not be possible (though I didn’t try).
