GASKET RELEASE SYSTEM When there is excess built up of pressure within the pressure cooker, the Gasket bulges out through the slot present towards aside in the lid of the pressure cooker. The pressure gets released out through the opening on the lid.

A Great Cooker – My Wife is Happy!
I found this cooker really good in every aspect. One feature I liked the most is that the spilling is collected in the top lid, so it doesn’t spread all over the cooker – very neat and clean!My wife is truly happy with this cooker.
